Reverend Daniel Johns (my great-grandfather and Ray’s grandfather) and his wife, Annie E. Johns, migrated from Wales to the United States in the early 1900s. Together, they established the Spiritualist Church of Truth in New Castle, Pennsylvania. Reverend Agnes E. Guthrie (our Aunt) also worked in the church. Healings, channelings, psychic healings, and spirit messages were also offered. Annie Johns predicted the end of World War I and the local newspaper printed an article about it. Raymond Johns, Sr. (Ray’s father and my grandfather) also worked in the church giving spirit messages and lectures. Reverend Daniel Johns was the major Healer. He had some major successes. Mable Winifred Johns was also a medium and a Healer. She was the sister to Raymond Johns, Sr.
My father, Ray Johns, used his family gift of healing to help people until he passed away on September 13, 2019.
